​What is Humanitas Hospital?
The project
In the subject of biology and geology of 3rd of ESO, human anatomy and health are studied. Hospital Humanitas is a project created by Marisa Álvarez (biology teacher at Humanitas Bilingual School Torrejón) so that students can simulate that they are doctors working in collaboration with hospitals around the world diagnosing different diseases. In this way, they will get to know some of the most common diseases, highlighting the importance of prevention through healthy lifestyle habits.
Methodology
First, students will choose a specialty and perform different activities in order to know the main diseases, their symptoms and their treatment.
Then, they will be organized by multidisciplinary working groups composed of four "doctors" of each specialty.
Each medical team will receive a series of cases that must be diagnosed in a cooperative way, in order to make a final medical report for each case.

Cardiologists
A group of students will study the main cardiovascular diseases, their symptoms and treatment
Oncologists
​Cancer, its types, symptoms and treatment, will be the object of study of a group of specialist students
Epidemiologists
​The group of epidemiologists will be in charge of the study of infectious and parasitic diseases
Neurologists
Students specialized in neurology will study diseases that affect the brain
